3-Week Intensive

TheFilmSchool’s cornerstone program--a journey of self-discovery--is designed to help you unleash your unique storytelling voice. A tour de force in screenwriting and directing. 

The Film Director's Priorities: Text, Acting and Editing

With an emphasis on translating text to actors, students select one scene to film, then cast, rehearse, shoot, edit, and present the scenes in class.

Caught in the Act: Screenplay Readings

Attend free read-throughs of scripts written (and sometimes directed by) TheFilmSchool alumni.

First Tuesdays

Join faculty and alumni at Roy Street Coffee for monthly gatherings and film and screenwriting events.

Prodigy Camp

A chance for teens to learn what goes into making movies. Held once every summer for children ages 13 to 15 and 16 to 18.

College Credit

TheFilmSchool and Cornish College of the Arts grant college credit through Cornish for students completing the three-week intensive program at TheFilmSchool. Non-Cornish students who complete the 3-Week Intensive at TheFilmSchool will receive SIX CREDITS. The charge will be $110.00 per credit, for a total of $660.00. This is to be paid directly to Cornish and is separate from the fee to attend TheFilmSchool. Cornish students who apply to and are accepted to TheFilmSchool and who wish to apply work at TheFilmSchool to their Cornish program of study must work with their department chair and the Registrar for approval on a case-by-case basis.
